Panic & Anxiety App

Editorial Policy

Self-help information, not medical care

This site publishes general information and guided exercises for people who have panic and anxiety attacks. Our pages are not written or reviewed by doctors, and we don't describe them as medically reviewed. Nothing here diagnoses a condition or replaces advice from a doctor or mental health professional.

Where our information comes from

  • Health bodies such as the NHS, NIMH, NICE and the American Heart Association, and hospital health libraries such as Cleveland Clinic.
  • Studies, reviews and medical reference texts, linked through PubMed, the NCBI Bookshelf or the publisher.
  • Official regulators, only for legal and safety rules such as workplace rights, driving or flying, never for health claims.

We don't cite health blogs or brand sites. Every guide lists its sources at the end of the page.

How we check pages before they go live

  • People: a guide is published only after a named team member signs it off. New and changed guides are checked claim by claim against the sources they cite. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.
  • Automated checks: our tests fail if a guide has fewer than 1,000 words or fewer than three sources, cites a site outside our list of approved health bodies, journals and regulators, or repeats a heading or question from another guide.
  • AI assistance: drafts of text and code may be prepared with AI assistance. A draft is not published until a team member has signed it off.

Safety

The home page, every article and the Panic Reset show when to get emergency care instead, with emergency numbers and, for the US and Canada, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. We describe medicines only as the cited guidelines do and never advise starting, stopping or changing one: keep to what was prescribed and talk to your prescriber.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email developyourself.studio@gmail.com. We check the source, fix the page and update its review date.

Independence

We don't run ads or accept payment for coverage. The site is made by the team building the Panic & Anxiety mobile app, and some pages mention it after the help. See also our privacy policy.
